VTA BOVs vent to atmosphere to make the signature turbo blow-off sound, where the DV+ recirculates the air to keep it quiet., Each valve in the VTA range is designed specifically for the applications we list them for, ensuring the best fit and performance. Most of the VTA range are designed for use on cars with solenoid type factory diverter valves, and in those cases the VTA kit will retain the solenoid and ECU control. , Like the DV+ though, it replaces the weak factory valve internals to ensure strength and reliability, especially in high boost applications. Other versions of the VTA are designed for use on cars that do not have any kind of factory-fitted diverter valve. , , Vehicle manufacturers have deleted the troublesome solenoid type diverter valve from some of the newer models, but this leads to turbo compressor surge which can be taxing on the turbo in the long run. , The VTA valves for these cars are designed to re-introduce the function of a diverter/blow-off valve to help protect the turbo in the long term and also provide a blow-off sound.

From the very beginning of my career, I’ve learnt that it’s amazing where tinkering can take you. I’ve been engineering for 35 years, including 10 years manufacturing components for the automotive market including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). I’ve been determined to push the limits of high performance engines since I was tinkering with my Mini Cooper S in the ‘80s. When I bought my WRX in 1997, I decided to step it up a knotch and get serious. At first, I bought components ‘off the shelf’. Most of these were expensive and imported. Indeed, this was true for the Australian-made ones too. Nothing, however, came even close to the quality I knew they should be, as they were made of inferior materials and of generally poor workmanship, and did not give me the performance gains I was looking for. So I started designing, testing and developing “GO FAST BITS”, a range of innovative and high-quality blow-off valves, boost controllers, pulley kits and short shifters. These products, unlike what was previously available, were meticulously designed and manufactured from the highest grade materials, working the way they were designed to. Performance should not be about compromise – parts should fit correctly and deliver real performance outcomes, without making the car difficult to live with on a daily basis.
