2013-2018 Ford Focus ST Rear Diffuser By Verus Engineering

The goal of the diffuser is to improve grip and reduce drag. Hatchbacks are notoriously drag prone due to the overall body shape. A properly designed rear diffuser improves the wake region and thus improves drag on these style of cars. The other benefit is increased downforce at high speeds; which increases handling, improves safety, and increases corner speeds.

The rear diffuser is part of our Ventus 1 package. The goal of the Ventus 1 Package for the Ford Focus ST is to improve its aerodynamic performance over the factory. The rear diffuser and dive planes were designed together to improve downforce and equal the aerodynamic balance of the factory Focus ST. All the parts in the Ventus 1 Package work well as a system to improve the aerodynamics of the Ford Focus ST.
